2020 Inspection Postponed

IDHSNA's Board of Directors voted unanimously to postpone 2020 inspections while extending the existing Purebred Inspection Amnesty for another year. Due to the global health pandemic and not wishing to add stress to our members’ busy lives, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the 2020 IDHSNA inspection tour. There is too much uncertainty around our ability to secure inspectors. The regulations and restrictions on travel varies from State to State. The situation is ongoing and changing. Preparing horses for inspection has already become difficult in some locations. In consideration of the postponement, and reported difficulties in breeding for 2020, we have simultaneously voted to extend the existing Purebred Inspection Amnesty to 2022. Click for the full Purebred Policy including Amnesty statement. IDHSNA has held successful inspection tours for the last 4 years under the harmonized inspection procedures. We were excited to inspect more horses this year including reaching some locations where we have not been able to hold inspections for some years! We are truly sad we cannot safely offer this opportunity. Owners who have already registered and paid for inspections will receive a full refund. We will rally in 2021 with another amazing inspection tour and we sincerely hope you will join us as a member, with or without horses to celebrate the Irish Draught and Irish Draught Sport Horses we all love!
