O'Leary's Irish Diamond

O'Leary's Irish Diamond

1989 bay 17.1hh Class 1 ID stallion by Mountain View out of Grey Streaker. As a young horse, Irish influenced people to take another look at the ID, and helped dispel the myth that a large boned horse could not be athletic or competitive. He excelled in Dressage, Jumpers and Hunters throughout his 16 years. Imported/promoted by James Leary of NM in 1997, he planned and orchestrated Irish's early Dressage career w/Jutta Heinsohn through 3rd level. Jutta rode Irish for the Irish Inspectors at his performance test, where he earned stellar marks and had the distinction of becoming the first Irish Draught to be performance tested in Dressage. Irish earned many regional awards as he advanced through the levels, culminating in completing his dressage career at Prix St. Georges level under then rider/trainer Stephany Fisch of Florida. In addition to his dressage career, he also attained awards in jumpers (under Rob Gage) and later hunters as well. O'Leary's Irish Diamond was a remarkable stallion, not only for his tremendous achievements in dressage and jumping, but he had a wonderful, easy temperament as well.
