THE IRISH DRAUGHT HORSE SOCIETY OF NORTH AMERICA
WHO WE ARE
The Irish Draught Horse Society of North America (IDHSNA), established in 1993, is a volunteer organization which ensures all eligible horses are entered into the breed Registry for purebred Irish Draughts or partbred Irish Draught Sport Horses in North America. We also offer opportunities for the inspection of breeding horses.

To preserve this rare and endangered breed, we promote and maintain a high standard of breeding, conformation, quality, type, and soundness. We contribute to the collection and dissemination of scientific and statistical analysis, including genetic characteristics, rare bloodlines, and herd trends. We provide breeders with educational information to further inform choices in breeding and herd preservation.

We share information about this wonderful, breed and its contributions to the partbred, Irish Draught Sport Horse. Maintain diverse and numerous communication efforts and embrace opportunities to acknowledge, promote, and market the Irish Draught and Irish Draught Sport Horse.
