PUREBRED PRE-INSPECTION STALLIONS

Owner Notes: Purebred Stallion Inspection Process

Guidance for owners preparing a purebred Irish Draught stallion for inspection, including registration requirements, radiographs, veterinary examinations, and inspection procedures. The February 2026 edition is the official document for the 2026 inspection tour and supersedes all prior versions. Questions: IDHSNA@hotmail.com.

Purebred Stallion Inspection X-Ray Package

Instructions and forms for submitting official radiographs for purebred Irish Draught stallions presented for inspection. Radiographs may be taken after January 1 of the stallion’s three-year-old year and, once approved, remain valid for life. The official evaluation report must reach the IDHSNA Registrar by August 15 of the inspection year. The 2026 version supersedes prior documents.

Purebred Stallion Pre-Inspection Veterinary Packet

Certification form for the pre-inspection veterinary exam of purebred Irish Draught stallions. The examining veterinarian must complete and return the signed pages directly to the IDHSNA Registrar as part of the stallion inspection process. Documents must be received by August 15 of the inspection year. This form supersedes all prior versions.

Inspectors use this form to assess ID stallions. Each of the traits listed will be marked on a spectrum, in order to describe the horse. The center of the spectrum is not necessarily optimal.

PARTBRED PRE-INSPECTION STALLIONS

Lunging & Endoscopic Veterinary Exam

This form is required for partbred (sport horse) stallions. The endoscopic exam must be conducted by a licensed veterinarian either before (up to 90 days prior) or within 30 days after inspection.
