Beeston Laird was known for his fabulous temperament as well as his athleticism, including a lovely jump.  He is also known for passing on his gentle temperament, willing work ethic and athletic ability to his offspring.

Laird was heterozygous grey - allowing color to come through to his foals. Laird is now deceased but his lineage is still available.

Bloodlines included Colman, Pride of Shaunlara, Grey Macha, and Ben Purple lines. The mare Pink Carnation who was dam of Gort Boy contributed on Laird's maternal side of the pedigree.
