Bell Tower Major Tom started his career by claiming the Irish Draught Horse Society of Great Britain's Foal Championship. Upon his attainment of Class One status he was described by inspectors as, "Nicely proportioned horse... Correct, active and elevated trot with good balance. Light off the floor, good bascule and plenty of scope. A nicely presented stallion with a good attitude." He makes good on all of these comments with his attitude to work and way of going under saddle.

Bell Tower Major Tom, like his sire, Winmaur Sargeant Pepper (IDC1) is an important asset to the breed for his traditional size and bone. His dam, Ballynamona Lady, was a double Bronze Merit, Hornby Select mare who had great success in the show ring for herself and her stock.
