The IDHSNA is aware of serious allegations of animal abuse circulating on social media. The individual involved is not a member of the Society.

The IDHSNA Board of Directors condemns the mistreatment or abuse of any animal. The welfare and kind nature of the Irish Draught horse are central to our mission, and the Board takes these allegations very seriously.

The Board is reviewing what actions the Society may take in accordance with our governing documents and ethical standards. Our Code of Conduct requires that officials place the welfare of the horse above all other considerations and recognizes that violations may result in disciplinary action.

These principles guide the Board as it evaluates this situation and determines appropriate next steps.

Sincerely,

IDHSNA Board of Directors
